The year 2008 marked the 150th anniversary of the Tyrrell family's arrival in Pokolbin, New South Wales, to begin its future making wines of the finest quality and character. The concept for this wine was to create a contemporary Shiraz that retains the Tyrrell stamp of finesse and elegance. Tyrrell's was named Australia Winery of the Year 2010 by James Halliday, the country's most highly regarded wine authority.
